04 May Journey
first a bit of
The journey of a refugee is not an easy one. Refugees continue to risk their lives crossing dangerous seas for the hope of a safe life, not only for them but for their children. They must navigate refugee camps, a myriad of languages, cultural differences, find transportation, and avoid smugglers who seek to exploit. The list could go on. Refugees are exhausted, scared, and anxious. No day is the same. No future is promised for them. This is not a journey of comfort, this is an exodus.
“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence.”
~2 Samuel 22:3
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen….is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter- when you see the naked, to clothe him…?”
Pray for the hearts and minds of families making the journey into Europe and for those who are still stuck in dangerous situations in the Middle East. Pray for protection, rest, and that they are met with the love of Christ throughout their journey. Pray that the world will notice and not forget.
Thank you for your faithful prayers!
