07 May Not Forgotten
first a bit of
As refugees wait at borders, hoping to continue their journey to “the promised land” of Western Europe, they wonder if the world knows. Does the world know that thousands upon thousands cannot cross these borders? Does the world–sipping coffee, hosting family gatherings, celebrating birthdays and holidays–know that they do not know their future? Does the world know they feel forgotten?
Kamar received a note today from a volunteer traveling from the States. A simple note saying, “You are not forgotten. We are praying for you. We hope you know Jesus has a hope and a future for you.” A single note reminds him that he has not been forgotten, and he is encouraged.
“There will be great rejoicing over the one…”
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Pray that refugees would know they are not forgotten. Thank God that he desires NONE to be lost. Consider starting a letter-writing campaign in your community to write notes of encouragement and hope for refugees. For more details click here.
